the children have recently discovered that scooters are the perfect way to get around our neighborhood (too many hills and cars for biking, too much whining and complaining on foot). so now i mostly just see their backs as they zoom away.

kale and i recently paid a visit to the seattle bouldering project. turns out his love of climbing is outweighed by his fear of heights so we probably won't be going back.
